Employment Skills Training

Employment Skills Training (EST) is a 3 1/2 day employment preparation program. A Facilitator works with you to develop a wide range of job search techniques including interview preparation, and resume writing skills. This program is designed to fully prepare and motivate you to secure successful interviews and employment opportunities.

EST includes the latest information & instruction on:

Accessing the Hidden Job Market

Professional resume writing

Personalized cover letters

Effective interview techniques

Application procedures

Tools for Success

Letters of Recommendation, etc.

Clerical services (for cover letters and resumes) are provided at no cost to you during the program. Photocopies available for a nominal fee.

Benefit from a professional & friendly atmosphere, a trained Facilitator to help you with additional concerns & employment issues, as well as group support from other job-seekers.

This program is designed to motivate and build confidence. Discover your transferable skills.

Workshops run 3.5 days (Monday to Wednesday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, and Thursday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm), and are offered on a regular basis at the Unemployed Help Centre.
