Second Career

Second Career will help laid-off, unemployed workers retrain in order to make the transition to a new career in a high-skill occupation that is in demand in their area.

Second Career provides financial assistance, based on individual need, to help people with some of the costs associated with a long-term training plan, including the cost of tuition and books.

Who can Apply?

Laid-off, unemployed workers - whether eligible for Employment Insurance or not - can apply to participate in Second Career.
