BELLE RIVER SITE - NOW OPEN

That's right, our Belle River site is now open! Located at 612 Notre Dame in Belle River, NOR 1A0. Hours of operation: 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Services include: assessment services, resume writing workshops, Resource Centre and much more. To contact the Belle River location by phone call: (519) 944-4900.

SMART SERVE The Unemployed Help Centre is now offering a training course called Smart Serve.

This course was created to help servers, hospitality managers and owners to understand and promote responsible alcoholic beverage service, and is certified through the Hospitality Industry Training Organization of Ontario. Computer Workshops (Evening Classes)

We are now offering free computer workshops on the third Wednesday of each month from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm within our Resource Centre. The focus of these courses is to give you the word-processing skills needed to create and update your resume and cover letters. In addition, you can learn how to access the Internet to job search, email resumes, and gather information on potential employers, and research career & training opportunities.

We are now open late on Wednesdays:

Windsor location: every Wednesday until 7:30 pm
Belle River location: the last Wednesday of every month until 7:30 pm

Come in and use our Resource Centre where you can use one of our many computers with Internet access and MS Office software, printers, fax machine, newspapers, job search materials such as a manufacturers' directory, sample resumes, and much much more. A staff person is ready to assist you with your needs, so don't delay your job search, come in and take advantage of our facilities. We are here to help!

Throughout the year we have special events to help us achieve our goals in servicing our clients such as, Food Drives for our Food Bank and our Annual Christmas Party.

Our 20th Annual Golf Tournament for 2011 was a huge success! Our sincere thanks to all of our supporters, without you, the money raised would not be available for programs such as emergency food assistance, coats for kids, our community garden, and much, much more. Click here to view our winners.
