Description:
Visually inspect, operate, and maintain guestrooms, common areas and associated mechanical equipment systems throughout the hotel; Utilizing knowledge of building mechanical systems; Use online resources for Knowledge on how to fix the items, parts etc.; Perform repairs and test equipment ranging from HVAC, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, general plumbing, drywall patching, general electrical, carpentry, sheet metal, tile repair, roof repair, welding, painting, landscaping, water treatment and repair (pool), preventative maintenance, ice machines, lighting, masonry and appliances in a safe and timely manner; Preventative maintenance for all guest rooms and public areas; Ensure we are following manufacturer’s guidelines and recommendations for preventative maintenance of all related equipment; Maintain pool by daily testing and following all guidelines; Installation of new equipment for the property; Work closely with other departments to assure team member and guest satisfaction is maintained at the highest level by providing professional and courteous service at all times; Maximize guest comfort and safety by monitoring and managing lighting, temperature, maintenance and sanitation; Promptly and properly complete all daily maintenance requests in log book in a timely manner; Communicate with management in regards to updates on repair logs and requests; Communicate with Housekeeping Manager to coordinate and prioritize maintenance requests for guest rooms and public areas; Assist and oversee outside contractors, Make sure that the Sign in/out sheet is completed. ? Ensure good relationships are built with internal and external customers, including but not limited to, hotel suppliers; Schedule inspection, monitor, maintain and test emergency and life safety systems as required to align with local regulatory codes; Record and maintain various logs and preventative maintenance records; Perform and manage inventory duties as required; Ensures cleanliness and orderliness of all work spaces and storage areas; Sweeping & Mopping of the Pool Deck; Monitor budget and control departmental expenses; Lifting of up to 60 lbs. with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects; Requires walking or standing to a significant degree, reaching and handling. Working conditions are inside and outside, regardless of weather conditions; Attend walk-throughs with General Manager as required.
Qualifications:
- Actively demonstrates, encourages, trains and models safety rules and guidelines; Investigates loss producing incidents and reviews prevention recommendations with management; Actively participates in the safety program by attending meetings, providing and documenting safety training and offering improvement suggestions; Make sure to be reading safety labels and to be using the proper required protection materials; When moving heavy equipment, furniture etc. Steel toe shoes or boots must be worn.
