Description:
The Housekeeping / Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms and assigned hotel areas to ensure a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment. Duties include making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing surfaces, removing garbage, and replenishing guest room supplies. The Room Attendant will inspect rooms for cleanliness, report maintenance concerns or damaged items, follow established health and safety procedures, and work efficiently to ensure rooms are prepared to hotel standards within required timelines.Qualifications:
- Previous housekeeping, hotel, janitorial, or commercial cleaning experience preferred
- Experience cleaning guest rooms or working in a hospitality environment is an asset
- Knowledge of proper cleaning, sanitation, and safe chemical-handling procedures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards
- Ability to work independently and manage assigned rooms efficiently
- Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance
- Strong organization and time-management skills
- Ability to follow instructions, cleaning procedures, and workplace safety requirements
- Comfortable performing repetitive physical duties, including bending, lifting, reaching, and standing for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move linens, supplies, and housekeeping equipment as required
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Professional and respectful when interacting with guests and coworkers
- Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as required
