Description:

The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for receiving incoming deliveries, preparing outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and safely moving products throughout the warehouse. This position requires previous shipping and receiving experience, forklift operating experience, and a valid forklift licence.

Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders and shipping documents.
- Prepare, pack, label, and stage customer orders for shipment.
- Operate a forklift safely to move, load, unload, and organize products and materials.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and delivery vehicles.
- Confirm product quantities and report damaged, missing, or incorrect items.
- Complete shipping, receiving, inventory, and delivery documentation accurately.
- Store products in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick orders and prepare bills of lading, packing slips, and shipping labels.
- Complete daily forklift inspections and report equipment concerns.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate stock records.
- Communicate with drivers, warehouse staff, and supervisors regarding deliveries and shipments.
- Maintain clean and organized aisles, loading areas, and workspaces.
- Follow company policies and all workplace health and safety procedures.

Qualifications:

  • - Previous shipping and receiving experience is required.
  • - Valid forklift licence or certification is required.
  • - Previous forklift operating experience is required.
  • - Experience loading and unloading trucks is required.
  • - Knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse procedures.
  • - Able to complete shipping documents and maintain accurate records.
  • - Basic computer and data-entry skills are preferred.
  • - Able to operate a forklift safely in busy or confined warehouse areas.
  • - Physically capable of lifting, carrying, bending, standing, and walking throughout the shift.
  • - Strong attention to detail, organization, and workplace safety.
  • - Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • - Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • - Steel-toed safety footwear is required.
