Description:
Responsible for performing a broad range of precision machining, grinding, gear manufacturing, In-process inspection, assembly, and production support functions within a self-directed manufacturing area. This position requires the ability to independently manufacture aerospace components through multiple stages of production while maintaining strict compliance with customer specifications, AS9100 quality standards, and company safety requirements. Shift work, overtime, and weekend work may be required based on business needs.Qualifications:
- Follow all company safety policies and Ontario OHSA requirements; Wear required PPE at all times; Safely lift materials up to 35 lb independently; Use mechanical lifting devices or team lifting for heavier loads; Report hazards, incidents, and near misses immediately; Minimum 3–5 years CNC machining experience; Achieve productivity targets while maintaining quality standards; Demonstrated experience operating multiple CNC machine platforms is strongly preferred; Multi-axis CNC machining, Mill-turn machining; Precision Manual and CNC grinding (Surface, OD, ID and Thread Grinding); Precision Gear Grinding, Gear Hobbing, Shaping, Generating, Skiving; Aerospace manufacturing/assembly experience is a plus; Experience machining: Inconel, stainless steel, high strength aerospace alloys and aluminum; Experience with tight tolerance machining (±0.0005” or better); Experience with Machine/Fixture Set-up, Tool offsets and Tool life management; Proficient in Blueprint reading, GD&T interpretation and manual inspection tools; Experience with one or more of the following CNC controls is preferred: Fanuc, Mazatrol, Siemens, Okuma
