Description:

Supervising program staff and ensuring accountability; Identifying Language Assessment and needs; Support the maintenance of positive working relationships with government funding organizations; Research and develop programs/assessment tools; Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of programs in addressing clients’ needs and meeting defined objectives; Participating in program delivery as required; Assisting in development and review of policy and procedures; Contributing to the activities to collect, analyze and report on data and relevant statistical information; Participating in meetings and committees and assisting in dissemination of information to staff, provincial and federal funding agencies and external agencies; Support the management of budgets for the program; Interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising
performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems with a strong focus on client service; Demonstrate a commitment to and documented success in working to create a fair, inclusive, antiracist environment for all stakeholders, and to supporting diverse constituencies and populations.

Qualifications:

  • Post secondary degree or diploma in Human Sciences/Business, or a related field is required, or equivalent; Three to five years of experience in counselling and case management principles; Three to five years of experience supervising employees in a unionized environment; A thorough knowledge of resources, trends affecting the sector and relevant community needs and opportunities; Experience in program development, delivery and management as well as supporting the grant application process; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to foster team and organizational development; Proficiency in the use of computers and various software applications; Knowledge of and experience with digital marketing and communications is considered an asset; Must have access to transportation throughout Windsor and Essex County.
