WHY:

As we continue to face unprecedented times many individuals in our community continue to struggle, and these individuals’ experiencing hardship turn to the UHC for a helping hand. The Christmas food hampers the UHC distributes cost an average $75 to prepare and the reality is that many individuals do not have these funds readily available to enjoy a holiday meal with their families. Local Philanthropist Alan Quesnel understands UHC’s vision that no one should go home hungry this holiday season, or ever! He has donated $250,000 to local food banks across Windsor-Essex County to help ensure families in our community have access to the most basic human necessity; a healthy, nutritional meal.
